part of Environmental Studies. The main objective of the visit was to provide

The
Department of Geography organized a Field Visit on “Ancient Temples in Karad”
on 10 March 2025. The field visit was organized with the objective of providing
students with practical knowledge about the historical, cultural,
architectural, and geographical significance of ancient temples in the Karad
region. During the field visit, students observed and studied the location,
physical setting, architectural features, historical importance, and cultural
significance of ancient temples. The visit helped students understand how
geographical factors, local environment, settlement patterns, and historical
developments are associated with cultural heritage sites. Students were
encouraged to observe the structural characteristics of the temples and
understand their relationship with the surrounding landscape. They also studied
the role of ancient temples in preserving local traditions, religious
practices, cultural identity, and heritage. The field-based observations
provided students with an opportunity to connect classroom learning with
real-world geographical and cultural features. The field visit also highlighted
the importance of heritage conservation and sustainable management of
